BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — People followed the yellow brick road to the Discovery Center in Binghamton for this year’s Wizard of Oz Carnival.
The Discovery Center was transformed into Munchkin Land for some family fun.
Dorothy, Tin Man, Scarecrow, the Cowardly Lion, and many other Oz favorites were all there.
Attendees were encouraged to come dressed as their favorite character from the Wizard of Oz movie.
Leaders at the Discovery Center say this event is always a favorite.
“We have a lot of different community volunteers, our staff is all hands on deck today,” said Discovery Center Executive Director Abbey Hendrickson. “They’re all here dressed up as different characters. We have Endicott Performing Arts Center here dressed up as different characters.”
This year was the ninth year of the Discovery Center’s Wizard of Oz Carnival.
