Sequins on, whistles at the ready: Brazilica is back for three days of caipirinha-fuelled carnival fun beside the Mersey. Kicking off on Friday evening with a carnival-queen competition at Albert Dock, the event has a live-music stage at Pier Head, a samba school, a fairground and a Brazilian film festival. The highlight will be a pulsating parade through the city centre on Saturday night.
