Chamber Children’s Carnival

ISHPEMING, Mich. (WLUC) Hundreds of kids and their parents came out for the Chamber Children’s Carnival in Ishpeming Friday evening. It was the first year for the event.

The carnival – which was held right outside of the River Rock Lanes bowling alley – was put on by the Greater Ishpeming-Negaunee Area Chamber of Commerce. It featured games, prizes, and a chance to win a pair of “His & Hers” bicycles.

The family theme of the event was atypical for the organization.

“It’s really important because it captures the entire community in a different way,” said Danielle LaCavalla, one of the event’s organizers. “Instead of just catering to businesses, or just to adults, we’re catering to the entire family.”
