BRIDGEPORT >> The Borough of Bridgeport held its monthly Small Business and Economic Development meeting on Monday to approximately a dozen business owners and several council members to discuss upcoming town events.
Bridgeport will be hosting its first carnival from June 20 to 24 on the grounds of Borough Hall at Fourth and Mill streets. The carnival will take place from 6 to 10 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20, Wednesday, June 21 and Thursday, June 22. On Friday, June 23 and Saturday, June 24, the fair will be held from 2 to 11 p.m.
In addition to rides for the kids, the carnival will feature tables of local vendors including Frank’s Fine Swine and Beef, Kagan’s Deli, Conshohocken Brewing Company, Frosty Falls and the Bridgeport Ribhouse. On June 22 between 7 and 8 p.m., a Mummer’s band will play to the crowd throughout the event. On Friday and Saturday nights, June 23 and 24 from 6 to 10 p.m., the Conshohocken Brewing Company will host a beer garden featuring their latest brews.
If you are a Bridgeport business and would like to have a table at the event, contact Borough Manager Keith Truman at firstname.lastname@example.org by May 19. There is no fee to have a table at the Carnival.
Also discussed at the meeting is the first borough-sponsored 5K run, which will take place on Oct. 1, 2017. Registration fee for the event is $30. The Borough is looking for sponsors for this event. Contact Borough Manager Keith Truman at email@example.com.
