Block party to celebrate the 150th birthday of Molly Brown

Historic Denver celebrated Margaret “Molly” Brown’s 150th birthday milestone in the spirit of Margaret’s Carnival of Nations, an event she held in 1906 that highlighted the diverse cultures settling the West. The event hosted many of Denver’s amazing cultural organizations to celebrate and highlight what makes the city so unique on Sunday, July 16, 2017. Brown was an American philanthropist, socialite and activist who became known as “The Unsinkable Molly Brown” because she survived the sinking of the RMS Titanic. The museum now located in her former home presents exhibits interpreting her life and that of Victorian Denver as well as architectural preservation. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.
